Commonwealth, a full service
luxury hotel in Boston's Kenmore Square, opened in 2003. Reservations

The
hotel features two outstanding restaurants. Eastern Standard, a bistro by Garrett Harker, was described in Gourmet Magazine as "a welcoming, robust place that pleases everybody." Island Creek Oyster Bar is a collaboration of Lineage chef Jeremy Sewall, Island Creek Oysters owner Skip Bennett, and Eastern Standard manager Garrett Harker.
The hotel also includes a variety of fine shops and smaller eating and drinking places, including, Wine Gallery, Persona Jewelry, Hunt's Photo and Video, Century Bank, Panopticon photo gallery, and Select Car Rental.
The Keefe Company is a partner in the development
team that is built the hotel, and served as development advisor
to Boston University, which owned much of the land on the hotel
site.
The Keefe Company was also instrumental in
securing $13 million in state funding for public
improvements to Kenmore Square, including pedestrian improvements,
a new MBTA bus station, and a new entrance to the Green Line subway
station.
